Welcome to 2025

It's been awhile since I've posted anything. I've been working at Kwik Trip a lot. The job is rewarding and pays well. It's just a job though and not a career. I could see getting burned out emotionally or physically very easily.  We still haven't been hit with a lot of snow here in WI. That's very unusual. It keeps going past 40 degrees and then back to 10 degrees. My sinuses don't like the weather.  I've been trying to learn HTML5. It's a lot different than I thought it would be. I can see there will be  a lot of memorizing. I think that will be the hardest part.

Merry Christmas

I had a lazy day today. Took a nap, stayed in my pjs, watched TV and took another nap with Mocha. If I didn't have to work tomorrow I'd stay up to study or just play on the computer. That's how much sleep I got today. I'll try to sleep so I'm well rested for tomorrow's fun filled day. Usually after a holiday the store is pretty dead. The only people who go out are going to work and it feels like a Monday or are returning their gifts. Others are going out for the post-holiday sales. All in all it's a pretty laid back day. Even if we're short, which happens a lot, it just has a different vibe to it. The topic for tomorrow will be "warmer weather". It's supposed to be in the mid 40s for the weekend which is unheard of in Wisconsin at the end of December. I personally wish it would just stay cold until April. I'm all ready sneezing all the time.

New iMac

My new iMac is here that my dad got for me. I’m excited to set it up. Letting it warm up while watching A Charlie Brown Christmas. Even Mocha is watching. He won’t watch the Packers with me but he likes Charlie Brown.

La semana pasada

Don’t worry, it’s not another Spanish post.  Last week I was working at the register at Kwik Trip and I saw two men speaking Spanish and pointing to the gas pumps outside.  I told them, “habló español puedes ayuda”. Ok, I didn’t actually say that.  I actually said, “hablo español un poquito”.  He comes to the register sand says, “veinte, once” and put a $20 bill in my hand. Translated, I want $20 on pump 11. I said “si,  nos vemos las próximo vez.”  Again, I wish I said that but all I said was “si”. All the words come to me after but all in all it was a successful interaction.

Hoy Nochebuena

Estoy cocinando un pavo con relleno. No voy a tener un gran cena, solo pavo.  Haremos sándwiches y otras cosas por días y días, no cocino, solo pavo.🦃
